What You're Actually Paying For In Video Editing

Menticore Team · 6 min read

Editing Prices Vary More Than People Expect

A single video edit can run anywhere from fifteen dollars to a few hundred, and the gap isn't random. It usually comes down to three things: how much manual work goes into the cut, how many revisions are included, and whether anything beyond editing (thumbnails, channel management, motion graphics) is bundled in.

Entry-Level Pricing

At the lower end, you're typically paying for a straightforward cut: stock or supplied footage assembled with basic transitions, a thumbnail, and a fast turnaround. This works well for creators who already have a script and raw footage and just need it assembled cleanly. It's the fastest way to test a format before committing to a bigger package.

Mid-Range Pricing

This tier usually adds real footage sourcing, motion graphics, sound design, and multiple revision rounds. The difference is noticeable: better pacing, cleaner transitions, and an edit that's been reviewed rather than just assembled. For a channel that's already posting regularly, this is usually where quality catches up to consistency.

Full Production Packages

At the top end, you're no longer paying for a single edit, you're paying for a production system: a batch of videos on a schedule, consistent visual identity, and often channel management on top. This is the tier that removes editing from your to-do list entirely instead of just making one video look better.

How To Pick The Right Tier

Our own packages follow this exact logic, from a single video to a full month with channel management included. You can see the current pricing and what's included at each tier on the pricing section of our site.
